VDP Prize - Awarded to Amardip Kalsi who entered under the pseudonym Dr A.S.K. He qualified from London in 2010, and is currently based in Wokingham.
The prize for Vocational Dental Practitioners was established by the British Endodontic Society in 1994.
Greater understanding of the art and science of endodontics is essential if patients are to benefit from the many advances in treatment which are now available. To this end, the Society has always nurtured close links with General Practitioners who carry out the vast majority of endodontic treatment in the United Kingdom.
The British Endodontic Prize for Vocational Dental Practitioners is aimed at promoting these targets for the newly qualified practitioner.
We are pleased to announce that the winner of this year’s prize is Amardip Kalsi who entered under the pseudonym Dr A.S.K. He qualified from London in 2010, and is currently based in Wokingham.
He submitted a reflective record of 7 key cases upon which he reported as a chronological development through his year as a VDP, marking his progress in endodontics. It is an interesting insight into the ‘early days’ of a newly qualified practitioner.
Not only does he receive a cheque for £350 and a certificate, but also his Trainer, Mr Nick Priest (NHS South Central, Winchester) qualifies for a free place to the conference. Congratulations to him also!
