The British Endodontic Society offers two national awards annually, to the dental students submitting the best report of an elective period project in the field of endodontology.
The awards will be made on April 30th and September 30th each year and are subject to the following regulations.
The prize competition is open to all dental undergraduates in the United Kingdom, joint entries are acceptable.
A written report of the study undertaken should be submitted to the Honorary Assistant Secretary of the Society before each closing date. A Committee of the Council of the Society, comprising members not connected with any institution submitting an application, will consider the entries, and their decisions will be final.
Entrants may discuss their report before submission with the representative of the British Endodontic Society in their Dental School.
Undergraduate students who have undertaken an elective period of study within six months of the closing dates of April 30th and September 30th may apply.
Winners will be invited, at the expense of the Society, to present details of their project at the Annual Scientific Meeting and to receive the prize of £300.00. They will be reimbursed for any travelling and hotel accommodation expenses. The Society will also have the right to publish details of the project in the International Endodontic Journal, should it be considered suitable.
The successful undergraduate must permit the publication of photographs for the purpose of promoting the British Endodontic Society.
The undergraduate will also be invited to join the British Endodontic Society and enjoy the many benefits associated with membership.
